Our Code of Conduct

All Care Call domestic assistants pledge to abide by the following standards

No contact shall be maintained with any visitor or outsider without prior permission of the customer.

No outsider shall be accompanied into the premises of the customer when reporting for duty or invite outsiders to the place of work during working hours.

No article or food belonging to the customer shall be removed or made to be removed from the customer’s location without the explicit consent of the customer.

Shall always take customer comments and complaints seriously and respond to them in line with agreed ways of working. Supervisors shall be kept informed of such developments.

Shall be clad in uniform at all times while on duty.

All customers their inmates and guests shall be treated with respect and compassion.

Shall remain within the customer location while on duty unless required by the customer.

One must never abuse, neglect, harm or exploit those who use Care Call services or colleagues.

No contact shall be maintained with any visitor or outsider without prior permission of the customer.

If one feels not competent to carry out an activity, it must be reported to Care Call and the customer.

One should not report to work or take up any such assignment when not fully recovered from any sickness.

Care Call shall be kept informed of all medical conditions periodically or when such reporting is required.

In the event of falling sick while on duty, one shall cease work immediately and inform the customer and Care-Call.

Inform the supervisor or client about any issues that might affect the ability to discharge responsibilities competently and safely.

Shall exercise maximum due diligence in discharging duties to ensure the safety of inmates in the customer location and properties therein.

Report any actions or omissions by yourself or colleagues that one feels may compromise the safety or care of people who use Care Call services.

Never accept any offers of loans, gifts, benefits or hospitality from any customer or anyone close to them which may be seen to compromise your position.

Establish and maintain clear and appropriate professional boundaries in the relationships with people who use Care Call services and colleagues at all times.

One shall not attempt to operate any customer instrument or appliance that is unfamiliar. Shall strictly act on the instructions of the customer in such instances

Privacy of customer information shall be observed at all times. Any information about customers that one may come across during the course of service delivery shall be kept confidential and not be shared with third parties, unless it is required by law to do so.

No personal communication devices shall be used during the period of service without the permission of the employer, except for the purpose of contacting Care Call. All such devices belonging to domestic assistants shall be kept switched off or on silent mode while on duty.

Comply with the customers agreed ways of working.

No contractual and lawful orders of the customer shall be disobeyed.

Shall not engage in any unethical, illegal or irresponsible act while in service.

No meals shall be consumed outside the periods of interval agreed with the customer.

Shall remain within the customer location while on duty unless required by the customer.

Shall not engage in any other business or activity other than that of the customer while on duty.

No customer shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.
